New Cancellation and Transfer Policy starting 2025.

For all cancellations and transfers, we must be notified by our new Registration Cancellation or Registration Transfer forms. See links below.
Cancellations: Refunds, minus a $75 administration fee per adult or senior registration are available up to 30 days prior to the event. Refunds can be obtained by contacting the office by our online form (required) at least 30 days (January 15, 2026) prior to the start of the event. Feel free to call us, but we must also have the request via our new Registration Cancellation form.
Transfers: Your registration can be transferred to another person up to 15 days (by February 1, 2026) before the event begins (February 15, 2026). There is a $50 fee for each adult or senior transferred registration. For a transfer, you must contact us (required) at least 15 days prior to the start of the event. Registration Transfer form.
Don’t have anyone to transfer to? Contact us and we will put you in touch with someone from our waitlist.
If you are transferring a kid, youth or teen registration, you can contact us by email and we will do that manually. There is no charge for transferring these registrations.
It is essential to use our Transfer form as some folks have been offering to sell transfers for registrations they don’t have!
Rollovers: As of Winter Count 2025, we no longer allow registrations to be rolled over from one year to the next.
Cancellation due
to weather or anything else...
Extreme weather conditions are becoming more of a concern. If catastrophic conditions require us to close the camp during an event, refunds will not be available. If the Winter Count Primitive Skills conference is cancelled before the beginning date (February 15, 2025) due to weather or any other reason, a credit of 50% of your registration fee will be credited for the following year's conference.
There are trip insurance options available through brokers that provide a policy to cover such an occurrence.

We maintain a small financial aid fund generated through raffles, donations from some of our instructors, and tuition. On November 1, you will find a link to apply for a financial offering.
